Payment Plan

 

Is a great way to purchase your new Aquarium and accessories from Aquarium's R Us. The application takes just 10 minutes and approval in 5minutes. Once approved, if the goods are in stock, you may take them immediately. The minimum purchase amount is $600 and the maximum is $2000.

How it works

A revolving credit account is established with a third party which streamlines future purchases. This will attract a $2.90 account keeping fee each month. As you make a purchase you will pay us 25% of the purchase price together with a 4% surcharge (like American Express) which is the recovery of costs paid by the merchant on this transaction. The remaining 75% of the purchase price and a contract fee of $35 are divided into 13 fortnightly payments, each of which attract a $2.50 direct debit processing fee per transaction.

While there is no interest ever, the associated fees may add an additional 6 to 10 percent to the total purchase price of the goods once fully paid at the end of the term, similar to buying on credit card. Please see instore for full disclosure statement.

To qualify
  You must be a permanent resident of Australia over 18 years of age and working more than 32 hrs per week. We will need a current Australian drivers license or Proof of Age card, employment details (ABN required if self employed) and a bank statement which shows your bank account number and branch BSB.
Fees & Charges
 

A full Terms and Conditions booklet is provided with every completed contract and is available for perusal in store.
The following fees apply:

A 4% surcharge applies to all Payment Plan contracts. This is based on the total purchase price and is paid to the retailer to recoup fees charged by the provider. This is paid upfront with the 25% deposit.
Once only Contract Establishment Fee of $35, charged by the provider and collected via 13 installments
Monthly Account keeping fee of $2.90 charged whilst the account remains active. Your account can stay active beyond all repayments being made.
13 Direct Debit Transaction Fees of $2.50 each are charged by the provider, with each repayment (Total $32.50 over 6 months).

Example

 

Assume you made a purchase of $1000. You pay an upfront deposit on the day of purchase of $250, plus the 4% surcharge of $40, a total of $290 upfront. The balance of $750 would be paid over 13 fortnightly instalments along with the establishment fee of $35 and the direct debit charge. This makes each of your fortnightly repayments $62.88 over 6 months. Your monthly account keeping fee is charged separately.

HOW ARE YOUR REPAYMENTS WORKED OUT?
We add the 75% of total price and the establishment fee and divide by 13. Add the $2.50 direct debit transaction fee to each payment.
